President Obama has pledged to give us a government that works, rather than one that is based in ideology. Unfortunately, whenever his policies and policy directions are examined, it becomes clear that in Obamaland, what “works” is what fits the grand theories of Leftist ideology. Chief among these theories is the idea that the “state” can re-make human nature in its own image, if it can get control of our children early enough. They won’t say this directly, of course. Last week while most of the media focused on President Obama’s ABC infomercial on health care - until even the One was trumped by Michael Jackson’s untimely death - Congress, led by Democrats since January of 2007, conducted a successful “stealth” attack on every American. At a little after 7 pm on Friday, June 26, 2009 the House of Representatives, by a vote of 219-212, passed HR 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, alias Waxman-Markey, alias Cap and Trade. For those who haven’t followed this, Cap and Trade is the scheme whereby the Federal Government Caps the amount of CO2 and other anthropogenic (human generated) gasses an entity can produce, but allows some entities to continue to pollute by purchasing and trading “Carbon Credits.” On its face, this legislation is based on junk science - whatever your position on global warming, Earth’s atmosphere simply does not recognize the political boundaries we…..
